Tan, White, and Red Stoneware Bowl - only 1 available
Charming Tan, White, and Red hand-carved bowl.
This charming bowl was created on the pottery wheel using speckled buff stoneware clay and fired twice using white stoneware glaze. The design was created by applying glaze before the first firing and carved through the glaze to reveal the raw-colored clay. This process is called sgraffito. After the first firing, the bowl had clear high gloss glaze applied inside and out and fired a second time. The speckles in the clay can be seen through the glaze and make for an added visual delight.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece. It can be used as a serving bowl, cereal/ice cream bowl. It can also be displayed on a table in your home as an art piece.
